Thursday, 25 June 2015 Kendriya Vidyalaya PGT Computer Science Question Paper

Scheme of examination for PGT'sis asunder:
Part I will comprise of 40 multiple choicequestions n English and Hindi subjects carrying 20 marks each (total 40marks).
Part II will consist of 160 multiplechoice questions of 1 mark each comprising Current Affairs (20), Reasoning andNumerical Ability (20), Teaching Methodology (20) and the subject concerned(100) questions.

The test will be of 03 hours duration. The Part II of the candidate will be evaluated only if he/she qualifies Part Isecuring 5 marks each in English Hindisubjects and 13 marks n aggregate in English and Hindi.

The final merit willbe based on the performance of the candidate in written test (Part II) andinterview. The weightage of written test (Part II) and interview will be 70:30.

In previous article I have given details of the Uttarakhand Group C exam conducted byUBTER (Uttarakhand Board of Technical Education's)


Most of thequestions asked in exams were very simple in nature.
For example they have asked like Oldest Veda, National bird of India, Garbadance, Article 370 etc.

Questions were very much direct in nature, what, when, where type questions.

Lucent's Gk book can be helpful forgeneral awareness.

For Uttarakhand one can go multiple times through the Pariksha Vani book.

And for post related matter one can read books related to that specificjob.
And again questions were simpler.

Aur current affairs b jaruri h, as 4-5 questions were from current affairs.

* Date of Exam - not known (Last Group C Exams-2011 exam dates were between Jan 2012 to Dec 2013).

Here I will try to provide as many as resources as I have and book lists which cab be useful for Group C-Exams for all job-position. And also will upload few old Group-C papers.

Uttarakhand Group C exam stages -
for some posts only one stage i.e. one objective paper and for some posts two(2) stages i.e.one objective paper+typing i.e.टकण orआशलप(hindi/eng) on typewriter or computer.
Written Exam/Test - This will be of Objective type(Multiple-choice).


Total number of questions = 100

Total marks = 100

So, 1 question will be of 1 mark.

Penalty for wrong answers-
There will be provision of negative marking i.e. 1/4th(- 0.25) marks will be deducted as penalty.Also if you tick/mark two answers of a question it will be treated as wrong. Again 1/4th marks will be deducted.

Durationof exam - objective:
Question paper will be of2 hours(or120 minutes)


They will provide you OMR answer sheet in exam hall. This OMR sheet will
also contain a carbon copy of your OMR sheet, which after completion of exam can be kept with you.(Because of aprovisionof Uttarakhand government that a candidate must begiven a copy of his marked answers i.e. OMR sheet)

Also you will be allowed to take question paper with you.


Now what they will ask in question paper?
As question paper will be of 100 marks(100 question).
50 questions will be related to the subject of minimum qualification required for that post.

For example,if the post is Computer Operator, they will ask 50 questions related to basic knowledge of computer, use of computer etc.The remaining 50 questions will be from General Hindi, General Knowledge, General Studies, Uttarakhand's Geographical(भगलक), Cultural(ससकतक), Economical(आरथक) and Historical(ऐतहसक) background questions. Also few(1-4) questions can be from basic maths or reasoning.Here is a screenshot for what is the syllabus forwrittenexam.
