Description:

Delve into the ancient art of alchemy. Independent researcher Brian Cotnoir will give an illustrated talk on the basics of alchemy at The Alchemist's Kitchen on March 2nd at 7pm. Through the course of the evening, Cotnoir will outline the fundamental theories and practices of both inner and physical alchemy. He will also review alchemical work with herbs, known as spagyries, the role of dream in alchemy, how to read an alchemical text, alchemical work in an urban setting, and more. There will be time for questions and discussion. A Thief’s Guide to Alchemy is an occasional series of talks, seminars and workshops concerning the essentials of alchemical theory and practice. With a focus on Hellenistic, Byzantine, Arabic and early Latin alchemy, we examine the roots of alchemy through replicating the work and practice using basic laboratory techniques. This unique series will provide a solid introduction to the theories and practices of alchemy, enabling the participants to begin alchemical experimentation on their own. Tickets:$20 (online)$25 (at door) With Brian Cotnoir Tuesday, March 8, 7:00 pmThe Alchemist's Kitchen  An introduction to alchemical theory and practice with one of the world's leading experts.  Delve into the ancient art of alchemy.
