It involves an act of recruiting, transporting, transferring, harboring or receiving a man, woman or child through the use of force, fraud, coercion or other means, for the purpose of exploiting them for labor or sex trafficking. We as an organization do not promote any particular statistic for this reason. Also, this annual report generates controversy every year for it's tier ranking system of foreign government's efforts to combat human trafficking, so we advise people to keep these things in mind when reading this and other reports about the complex issue of human trafficking.The problemEach year, millions of men, women and children are victimized and exploited for labor and sexual purposes. Hoping for a better future for themselves and their families they are lured by false promises into a life of slavery and deprivation. Since our founding in 1999, our team has been working in South East Asia (now exclusively in Thailand) and the United States striving to bring prevent human trafficking before it begins - in order to combat this global crime against humanity.
