If one of you wins, you BOTH win that free MONTH trial!you can find my Instagram post here see you in class!!! how my trip to Madrid was? A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. and mostly free ing. for me i ve tackled some anxieties and i found out some anxieties were gone that i didn t even notice!fear of flying. still there, but i did it, and even flew back home alone, since my sweet friend flew to Malaga to celebrate her holiday there. i cried. i did. i was a bit upset (the Guardia Civil at the douane did make me nervous as hell, but i do understand they have a job to do). the flight attendents were THE BEST. kept checking in on me, and once i was high in the sky, my anxiety dropped. DID IT. 2. fear of traveling alone, aka without hub and kids. i always had trouble leaving them at home while i was somewhere else. i always feel the urge to be home asap, and the THOUGHT alone of being alllll the way in Spain while something MIGHT happen, freaked me out. i did however manage by keep thinking and repeating in my head THEY ARE PERFECTLY FINE and picturing them gaming (ha!) or playing in the garden. that really helped. picturing them having fun, laughing enjoying themselves. it made me feel less anxious and to be honest forgot sometimes to think about them. which, for me, is a good thing!. DID IT. 3. fear of city s and crowds of people. still there. although in Madrid i felt so very save. it is a very clean city, beautiful with lots of nature (always a win for me, trees are calming). although Real Madrid did win the Champignons League and it was A BIT (very much) crowded in the streets around our hotel, i did manege to walk through those crowds. going INTO the crowd cheering NOT my game. so i stayed on the side and that was ok. DID IT. 4. anxiety gone which i noticed when i was there: always thinking somebody is walking behind me, following me or trying to rob me. i know. it is not realistic, but anxieties rarely are, right? when i was walking in the city i suddenly realised: hey, i do really feel RELAXED. DID IT!! so. just to let you know i m far from perfect, enough anxieties left but i also know i ve worked hard to stay positive and try to tackle every single one of them. i know that fear is how i m wired and i ll always have to deal with that, but i also know that those anxiety levels CAN drop and you don t have to deal with this alone. tell a friend. tell your husband. tell flight attendents or other staff members when you are alone and feel afraid. EVERYBODY wants to help. 3. oh, i had such fun doing this Art Collaboration with my sweet very talented friend Andrea Gomoll from Cre8tive Cre8tions. make sure you check out her website, she has some crazy fun lovely online classes and has the cutest stamps! We both have created a mixed media background on a piece of watercolor paper and then send it to eachother to finish it. TAKE TIME. o boy, that s a biggie for me. because i m impatient like ALWAYS i feel like i need to learn this lesson. take my time. journaling is in Dutch, but scroll down for the English version. journaling:TAKE TIME. you are allowed to take your time. this is such a common thread in my life. i can be very impatient and restless. i m always thinking it had to be done yesterday. but also taking time for me, and giving myself time are hard. although i m doing better than before, i still have to be reminded of this regularly. YES i am allowed to do the things in my own speed. no i don t need to get my creative business to the next level in the next year. NO i don t have to do anything. i am allowed to spend my days exactly the way i want and need to. i can take my time to learn new skills, to discover and to take time to make decisions. in that i can be very quick and impatient and feel regret afterwards. as if there s always somebody behind me pushing me. which is not the case at all, but it feels like that. rushed. so now i promise myself take your freaking time girl . stop rushing, start enjoying the process 3. supplies i ve used to make this art journal page: of course my own art journal :)jane davenport watercolors winsor newton watercolors white signo uni-ball pen black micron pen 1.0 happy creating everybody! love a new promise a two weeks late :O. but i m here again, back on track! journaling for this page is in Dutch, i ll translate it for you, scroll down a bit. READ. oh, in the old day s i almost ate those books. and when Sanne was a newborn i would love to read when she was napping on my chest. i could barely hold my arms up, but that was the only time to read. at night i simply was toooo tired, my eyes closed by the thought of reading alone. when we went to the beach, i would bring my book with me. sometimes enthousiastically 2! but of course i didn t even read 1 line because i was watching Sanne as a hawk. so i mostly just browsed some magazines. and when Ruben joined our family party it was all done with reading all together :O. he was such a busy bee and everywhere so i needed to keep my eyes on those 2 at all times. but since recently and mostly a few years ago when they both had their swimming exams, i can read (and relax) more! on holidays, lying in a relaxing chair near the pool where they play. and nowadays at night, and during the day, i pick up a book more and more. i want to be LESS on social media (looking at what other people are doing with their lives :), and MORE doing my own things, enjoying my own life. i buy a lot of books and love to have a stack! so i m not gonna make a promise to read X-amount of books this year. that only gives me stress. i just want to be less online, and more reading! supplies i ve used to make this art journal page: of course my own art journal :)jane davenport watercolors winsor newton watercolors white molotow acrylic marker black micron pen 1.0 white ecoline ink happy creating everybody! love the new promise for this week is ADVENTURE. what a beautiful word to make a promise on! my artjournaling is in Dutch, please read on below. ADVENTURE. more. when it comes to adventure i m really a chicken. i mostly want to stay with Arjan and the kids. going out of a day with a friend is perfectly fine, but away for a whole weekend? i get a tummy ache only thinking about it. kinda strange actually. Sanne and Ruben are almost 15 and 11. they can manage themselves perfectly. but it is just a feeling. all sheep on dry land , and my favorite people all together gives me a sigh of relief. luckely that feeling get s less strong and i can really look forward to going out and about, for me!start to make nice city trips, good food, with my bestie of course! in may i m going away for 5 (!) days to Madrid! the Desire Map training of Nicole, my wonderful business coach. but i truly think it is a fabulous promise to make: going on a adventure at least twice a year! to a city, or to another country even. seeing things, learning things. get inspired. by car, bus, train or airplane. if i go, than might as well do it right! supplies i ve used to make this art journal page: of course my own art journal :)winsor newton watercolorsjane davenport watercolors white molotow acrylic marker happy creating everybody! love another week, another promise! CELEBRATE. just celebrate the little things. why dont we huh? why are we so stucked on the everyday life, that we can t even enjoy the birds chirping now spring is in the air. see flowers trying to come out of the ground. listen to beautiful music. being able to read! there are so many little things that make life beautiful. i really have to tell myself to look around me and see what magic we live in.(last few days we had ice on the water next to our garden, so we were iceskating in our own backyard! how freaking cool was that? talk about making memories!journaling of my page is in Dutch and scroll down for the english version: what i wrote down for this week:CELEBRATE. the little things. such a beautiful promise to myself. CELEBRATE the F*CK out of life! look how many beautiful things there are to celebrate. and strangely enough, i can get carried away with reaching goals, to pursue converting, getting more followers on social media, having more orders... but stop and think how beautiful it is to live in this beautiful home, to wake up while the birds are chirping in the trees next to our bedroom? that Sanne has the time of her life because all the swans, ducks, coots and any other animal come cruising by and she can feed them, almost out of her hand! that Ruben (and Sanne!) can build their own treehouse in the biggest tree in our garden, a weeping willow. that we can live our lives the way we do now, and barely have to worry. that i can enjoy my kids intensely when i hear and see them play together and complete story lines pass by :). i truly promise myself to stop and watch listen and realize that there is so much to celebrate in life right NOW. supplies i ve used to make this art journal page: of course my own art journal :)neocolor II crayonsgelato swhite molotow acrylic marker black poscapen PC 1.m, 0.7 mm happy creating everybody! love
