Philosophy

Maria Montessori was born in Italy in 1870. She was one of the first female physician.

Maria Montessori innovated the Montessori approach to education which is focused on

“following the interests of the child.” She believed that everyone learns differently, and at their

own pace. The Montessori prepared environment can stimulate the individual interests of children.

About us

Children’s House is tucked away in a quiet residential area of Motoazabu.

The School is truly a “Children’s House” where Montessori materials and furniture are

sized for children. Founded and run by passionate Montessori teachers who strive to create

a comfortable environment for all children. Our mission is to offer an authentic

Montessori Education, based on the principles, methods and activities of Maria Montessori.

Program

We currently offer one infant classroom, for children between the age of twelve months

to thirty six months, and one primary Montessori classroom, for children three to six years old.

The day starts at 8:30 and finishes at 15:00.

We also offer After School Care from 15:00 to 17:00 which is available upon request.

After School Enrichment Program

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday :   15:30 – 17:00

Minimum 2 classes per week

Different elements of the Montessori environment may be used by the children, such as practical life, sensorial, literacy, cultural science, math etc.  Teachers will focus on each child individually by age and ability.

1.Tour

We’ll walk you through the classroom and introduce you to the Montessori approach to education.

2.Observe

After the initial tour, we recommend that you schedule an appointment to observe

the classroom in action. Montessori is one of those things that just needs to be seen.

3.Apply

We welcome you to submit an application. We’ll review it, and get back to you as soon as possible.

4.Meet the Teacher

The last step is to arrange a time for your child to come in and meet their new teacher.

This is a great way for your child to get familiar with their new environment.
