2022-23

During the pandemic, the USDA knew a lot of people found themselves struggling financially. They did not want school food to be a concern for families, so they passed waivers allowing all students to have a free breakfast and lunch. Unfortunately, those waivers were not renewed for the 2022-23 school year so we will be forced to return back to regular priced meals.

Be sure to fill out a meal benefit application which will be available July 8, 2022.

Breakfast

$.30 reduced

$1.50 full paid

Lunch

$.40 reduced

$3.00 full paid

The Nutrition Services department is made up of a team of food and nutrition professionals that are dedicated to students' health, well being and their ability to learn. We support learning by promoting healthy habits for lifelong nutrition and fitness practices.

Meals, foods and beverages sold or served at schools meet state and federal requirements which are based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. We provide students with access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet the health and nutrition needs of students.

Moore Public Schools Child Nutrition Program provides meals for all students including students in Pre-k half day programs and Internet Based Instruction Programs.

Pre-kindergartenhalf day programs. Students in the half day programs may receive the meal offered the part of the day they are not in attendance as long as the parent stays with their child during the meal.

The option is being offered as a service for students that may need the additional meal at a reasonable price.

Example—If I am amorningPre-K –I can already come and eat breakfast (no parent there) …. but if my parent/guardian wants to come up and take me to eat lunch they can.If I am anafternoonPre-K –my parent can bring me up for breakfast or lunch but I must have a parent/guardian there.

Meal times vary by site, please check with your building for meal start times.

Internet Based Instruction Program(IBI) - IBI students may access a school meal Monday through Thursday at VISTA between 5:30 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. Any IBI students that choose to come to VISTA for a meal during these times will be allowed to eat in the cafeteria. The meal will need to stay on campus and be consumed on site.
