The story behind our new look

From 2011 - 2019, Trafford had a distinctly light and airy decor with neutral, coastal colors throughout the restaurant. After a March 2019 kitchen fire closed Trafford for 2 1/2 years of repairs, we were ready for a decidedly different and modern look.

Our blog post, A New Look for a Second Life, details the design journey led by Kyla Coburn Designs, illustrated with photos of the major changes we undetook. The end result is the warm, vibrant sea-inspired decor you see today.

While the Trafford menu changes with the seasons, some Trafford classics are popular enough to be offered year round, such as our Trafford Cod Pan Roast, Fish & Chips, Stuffed Quahogs, PEI Mussels, Trafford Crab Cakes, Calamari, and Buffalo Tenders.

Our seasonal specialities are equally delicious! Current customers favorites include the Short-Rib Bolognese, Seared Salmon, NY Strip, Lobster Roll, and Pan Seared Scallops.

Most of our dishes can be prepared gluten free. Your server can provide detailed preparation and dietary information about our menu items.

Visit us in the thriving coastal town of Warren!

Opened in 2011, Trafford is built on the site of the former Staples Coal Company in Warren's historical waterfront district.

The name Trafford, originally Trapford, means where the land and water meet, and is symbolized by an 1890s image of a sailboat with wheels discovered in the Providence Public Library.
