About Us

The Dallas Chapter of the Latin American Motorcycle Association (L.A.M.A.) was founded July 5th, 2012. Since then, our chapter and its members have focused on promoting the sport of moto-tourism and the traditions of brotherhood, and generosity inherent in our culture across the North Texas area.

Since 2012 , the Dallas Chapter of L.A.M.A.has raised thousands of dollars for local and regional non-profit organizations; benefiting animal shelters and those less fortunate in our communities, as well as putting down thousands of miles on roads across the country.

Our Colors

FULL PATCH MEMBERS

Full patch members are awarded the ‘wings’ after a unanimous vote is reached at the table and they have successfully completed a period of no less than 6 months as a prospecting member. National and International patches are also awarded.

City patches are unique to every chapter, State, National and International patches are worn on the front of the cut, Dama de LAMA members also wear a specially designed patch on the front.

Prospects

A LAMA prospect wears a single ‘P’ on the back of the cut , prospective members wear this patch for a minimum of 3 months.

probates

LAMA prospects who have satisfactorily spent a minimum of 3 months as a Prospect are eligible to be promoted to Probate status and are awarded the top and bottom LAMA rockers. A prospecting member will spend a minimum of 3 months as a probate before he or she is eligible for full patch membership..

associate membership

An associate member is an individual who supports the Latin American Motorcycle Association but may not have the time to fulfill the requirements of a chapter member. While the associate member has the privilege to participate in all L.A.M.A. activities hosted throughout the world, International Associate members have neither voice nor vote in L.A.M.A. matters.. Associate members are members at large and do not wear “colors” but wear the distinctive International Associate member’s patch and the yearly renewal rocker. An annual fee is associated with this membership.
