The design industry is a stressful environment often marked by designers who work incredibly long hours to meet tight deadlines. The pressure to be always ‘on’ and creative is high, and expectations from leadership, clients, and personal ambitions feed into the daily stress designers are challenged with. When working under this pressure, often the simplest of wellbeing practices get overlooked.

By raising awareness around mental health and wellbeing we can create healthier workplaces for designers to thrive.

One of our goals with Designers Mind is to create a place where designers can share their journeys, experiences, and struggles around mental health & wellbeing.

There’s power in knowing you’re not alone.

By sharing our stories we aim to raise awareness to break the stigma around mental health while highlighting the importance of incorporating wellbeing practices into our days.

Our stories also help toreally highlight that the different parts of our lives, our personal and professional, aren't separate. In fact, completely the opposite as we're the common link in them all. If we're struggling in one it’s more than likely going to affect another.

Our lives are a holistic web and if we take care of all areas, our physical, mental, and social wellbeing along with our work that’s when we can really thrive.
