Kevin Murphy
Chief Investment Officer and Managing Partner

Kevin Murphy is a longtime investor with significant experience in the cannabis industry. Prior to launching Viridescent, Kevin founded and served as Chairman, CEO & President of Acreage Holdings, one of the largest vertically integrated, multi-state operators of cannabis licenses and assets in the U.S. Prior to Acreage, Kevin was a Founding Member and Managing Partner of Tandem Global Partners, a boutique investment firm focused on the emerging markets. Prior to Tandem, Kevin was Managing Partner at Stanfield Capital Partners, where he served as a member of the Operating and Management team that oversaw all aspects of Stanfield’s business, including risk management, sales and distribution, client services, legal, compliance and operations. Previously, Kevin worked at Gleacher NatWest as a Partner and Director of Marketing, Schroders as a Senior Vice President of Sales, Lazard Freres as a Vice President, and Cantor Fitzgerald as a Vice President.

Dennis Byrne
Head of Origination and Partner

Dennis was the Founder and Managing Director of the Alternative Capital Group and was an integral member of the U.S. Executive Committee at Canaccord Genuity (CG). Dennis was instrumental in establishing and growing CG’s dominant global cannabis franchise in a multi-faceted role that included origination, sales management, capital raising, and business and partner development. Since 2016, CG has been an investment banking leader in the cannabis market, acting as sole or joint bookrunner to raise C$4.0 billion in financings and acting as lead bookrunner on over 100 transactions. CG completed more than C$15 billion of cannabis M&A transactions. Previously at CG, Dennis served as Head of Cross Border Sales, where he helped manage the U.S. sales force and coordinated with the firm’s Global Securities Business Heads to identify products best suited for U.S. distribution.

Dennis holds a B.A. from the University of Delaware.

Phil Belardi
Analyst

Belardi is an experienced investment analyst with close to a decade of experience in underwriting and structuring traditional and esoteric investments. His previous employment includes roles at Marathon Asset Management and CIT Group. Previously, Philip was a Vice President and Investment Analyst in Marathon Asset Management's Structured Credit Group. In this position, he primarily focused on investments in the Aviation Finance sector where his responsibilities and oversight ranged across each business line from due diligence and underwriting to asset management, cash management and asset divestitures. Mr. Belardi has experience across various investment strategies and transaction structures across companies’ entire capital structure. In addition, he contributed in capital raising across various funds and strategies at Marathon which includes Marathon’s first dedicated aircraft leasing fund.

He has a BS in Finance from Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business with a Concentration in Alternative Investment.

Dante Domenichelli has over 20 years of operating experience in hedge fund and private equity investments. Prior to joining Viridescent, Dante was Chief Operating Officer and Partner at Wexford Capital, where he oversaw all back office and trading operations for over $3 billion of hedge fund and private equity investments. Previously, Dante worked at Parker Global Strategies as a Fund Analyst, Bridgewater Associates as an Operations Associate, and State Street Bank as a Portfolio Accountant.
