What is New Book Alerts?
Wouldn’t it be great if your library would notify you when they received new books? Especially books, DVDs and music that you are specifically interested in? New Book Alerts is an online service that showcases the newest titles purchased by your local library. You can select to receive alerts via email and/or RSS feeds.
What makes New Book Alerts so unique?
New Book Alerts showcases your new arrivals via free weekly, biweekly or monthly emails. Patrons can signup via RSS feeds or get Facebook posts and Twitter messages. A wide variety of stylish widgets can be embedded on your library website or right into your CMS system (Drupal, WordPress) or even your OPAC.
Patrons are excited when they get the latest new books, DVDs, and CDs you purchase and can quickly find and reserve the ones of interest. Deep links help your patrons find the material right in your catalog making it extremely easy to navigate and find the new material you ordered.
New Book Alert emails, RSS feeds, tweets, and Facebook posts reach regular patrons but are also highly appreciated by patrons who might not have had a chance to realize the wide variety of new arrivals covered by their library’s acquisitions department. NewBookAlerts presents the latest books in an amazing bookstore fashioned designer style website with a lot of customization options. NBA shows book covers, detailed annotations, popularity and ratings, and/or reviews for the majority of titles including ‘read next’ recommendations and author biographies!
