West Valley Humane Society also provides low cost preventative care for it’s community such as: vaccine clinics, microchip clinics, TNR services and targeted humane education. West Valley Humane Society is a private, charitable, nonprofit animal shelter that serves Canyon County, Idaho. As a 501(c)3 corporation, we rely heavily on the support of our community. Every animal that enters our care receives:Vaccines: $30-75 (dependent on species and age)Spay/Neuter Surgery: $50-200 (dependent on size)Dewormer Parasite Treatment: $5-25 (dependent on treatment)Food and Shelter: Cost depends on length of stayExercise and Enrichment: invaluable  West Valley Humane Society is an open admission shelter and often gets domestic pets that are out of the norm. This ranges from bunnies and birds to pigs and goats. Please consider looking at all adoptable pets and seeing if there is a "non-traditional" pet waiting to call your home their own. Please note that dogs are held on a stray hold for 5 business days, excluding weekends and holidays, and cats are held for 3 business days if there is an assumption of ownership. West Valley Humane Society offers a limited amount of low cost vet services for the public. Low cost vaccines, microchips and TNR services are an incredible asset to our community.  Foster parents are always needed to help animals that are too young for adoption services, pets that need medical recovery or pets that are working through anxiety or behavioral concerns.  West Valley Humane Society relies on our generous volunteers and foster parents to provide the quality of care that we do.Volunteers can use their strengths and help us in whatever capacity they can. From walking dogs to writing bio's for our website there is no limit to the amount you can do to help serve animals.
