With 100% of our employees returning to work in 2011, and 80% of them returning to work in 2012, this summer is looking great for us and our customers. Employee retention is something we pride ourselves on. This allows us to work in the most efficient manner to complete our work on your yard with a quality cut and as little disruption as possible to you and your family or business.All our employees are willing and able to discuss your needs or changes to the way you wish to have things done while we are on your property.Although we do our very best to minimize accidents while we work, they do happen on occasion. If we damage your property, we do not hesitate to notify you and make arrangements for repair as soon as possible. We are very pleased to announce that in 2011, we had no property damage or injuries! We will be happy to come to your location to discuss the type of work you desire for your property. We will quote the price for the job and get your authorization before we proceed. We attempt to find the right balance in the level of lawn service we provide with the price you can afford.We work all summer long, hot or not, mostly Monday through Friday, weather permitting. We occasionally work weekends if inclement weather knocks us off schedule. Sunday is always a voluntary day of work for our staff; no one is penalized if they do not work on Sunday.Large jobs are OK with us! Small jobs are cool too!We cannot think of any job we have turned down for being too small. We work for homeowners and small businesses. On most jobs, Tom's Mowing Service is on the property about 30 to 45 minutes. The smallest job we have is on 9th Street in Ottawa, KS. From the time we put the truck in park, unload, mow, trim, clean, and load up, this job takes only 5 minutes and the crew is generally waiting on the boss at the end of the session.Our single largest job was the US Army Corp of Engineers at Pomona Lake; approximately 225 acres of campgrounds and recreation areas. All finish mowed in 5 days every 2 weeks. The next largest job was the Gardner-Edgerton School District. The large job we are most proud of was the City of Lawrence's Clinton Parkway. Some things we will not do:Leave large clumps of cut grass on top of your lawn to yellow and kill the grass underneath.Mow through trashLeave your lawn unfinished or untidyAvoid trimming all obstacles in your lawn; trees, shrubs, gardens, lamp posts, sidewalks, pathways, stepping stones, yard art, or outbuildings.
