Donate Permanent Exhibit: Nuremberg Photos by Raymond D Addario Raymond D'Addario was one of a few photographers assigned by the Army Pictorial Service to document the International Military Tribunal in Nuremberg, Germany. On November 21, 1945, senior Nazi officials took their seats in Courtroom 600 in the Palace of Justice. Ray’s photograph of the main defendants sitting in the docket surrounded by U.S. military guards has become the iconic symbol of the trial. Jackson s Jamestown This unit will empower students to reflect on their personal career goals, brainstorm steps toward reaching those goals and use Supreme Court Justice Robert H. Jackson as a case study of an individual who ascended from ordinary life in small-town America to the highest echelons of American government. The unit of study is structured to take place over several class sessions depending on student work pace and the desired depth of research. Customization and adaptation are encouraged for differentiation and time management imperatives.  Justice Jackson and the Application of Universal Ethics How do we truly know if something is moral?  Designed for the International Baccalaureate student and teacher, this unit is designed to offer students a detailed case study on how Robert H. Jackson led the allied efforts to apply a universal concept of ethical justice to Nazi officials captured at the end of World War II vis a vis the Nuremberg Tribunal.  Students will also consider the efficacy in developing UN International Tribunals and the International Criminal Courts.... The Indictment On October 18, 1945, the indictment against 24 leading Nazi war criminals was filed at the first public session of the International Military Tribunal.
