Pioneer Parents -Pioneer School District has scheduled Parent Back to School Days from August 3rd through August 18th. All Pioneer parents of students in grades TK-8 are invited to attend. The event will be held at Pioneer Middle School, located at 101 West Pioneer Way. At the event you will check out your student's chromebooks, fill out and sign important documents, take student pictures if desired, and complete other tasks required before the first day of school.Parents will be required to schedule an appointment to attend. Dear Pioneer Parents and Guardians,As you may know, the new framework for reopening schools from the California Department of Public Health as outlined by Governor Newsom in his press conference held on July 17, 2020, prohibits schools from reopening for in-person instruction if they are located in counties that are on the State's COVID-19 watch list." Kings County is on the COVID watch list. Therefore, Pioneer will be opening the 2020-21 school year delivering instruction fully online through distance learning. Our distance learning standards can be found HERE.Pioneer UESD remains optimistic that we will be able to open our school sites for in-person instruction at some point this school year. When that time comes, the district will offer two options for instruction:1) Traditional, in-person instruction delivered 5 days a week at our school sites as permitted by State and local agency guidelines, recommendations, or orders. Or2) Distance learning due to COVID-19 concerns.If you have not done so already, we are requesting that you complete the instructional program choice form and choose a model of instruction for your child/children when we reopen and offer in-person instruction on our school sites This is particularly important if you have middle school student so that they may have a seamless transition back to in-person instruction and not have to change their class schedule and possibly their teacher/s when they return to our campus.
