Thank you for visiting us. As the incidence of cancer increases, it seems that there is a corresponding increase of interest in alternative methods as a course of treatment. One of these treatments that seems to be growing in popularity is that of paw paw (pawpaw). If you are interested in this topic, our goal is that you, your loved ones, and your physician will be able to find the answers to your questions on paw paw here.

The purpose of this site is to compile and document available information on the research done by Dr. Jerry McLaughlin and others about pawpaw and its powerful acetogenins. If you are aware of information that would be useful to the general public that is not listed on this site, please use our contact form to let us know so that we can consider posting it. If you have any constructive suggestions for this site that will help the public, we hope that you will let us know that as well. Unfortunately, until now, most information about this substance has been available only in technical or scholastic publications--out of the reach of the general public. However, the relatively recent manufacture of a standardized paw paw product and an increase of information available seems to be resulting in the greater use of paw paw as a cancer treatment.

Again, it is our hope that you and your physician will find the information that you need to make the best informed decision for your treatments. This site will always be a work in progress. Many of the most important technical articles are copyrighted by scientific journals organizations who are reluctant to release them for online publication. We are attempting to reach a satisfactory agreement with these parties, and we are hopeful that they will be gracious in the interest of helping to save lives.

Please note that while Dr. McLaughlin graciously provided most of the information on this site, he is not officially associated with the site and cannot be contacted through this site. He is retired, and spends much of his time on his farm, in recreation with his family, or traveling to speak on request about his paw paw research.
