Welcome to the MESS: Maritime Research Center Library Lecture SeriesThe MESS (Maritime Education for Students of the Sea) are informal lunchtime lectures during the last Thursday of the month meant to showcase a wide array of maritime knowledge, research and skills.(Last Thursday of the Month at 11AM PDT)Chantey Sing: A Virtual Concert with Singers from Around the WorldOur popular monthly virtual chantey sing includes performer, both professional and amateur, from around the world.(Every Third Saturday of the Month at 11AM PDT) SF Maritime Live: Virtual Ranger Tours of the SF Maritime ParkThe Association and Maritime Park are excited to announce the launching of San Francisco Maritime Live (SML), which provides the public with live broadcasted ranger tours of the National Treasures of the San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park.(Every Third Thursday of the Month at 11:00am PDT)Using living history and the authentic setting of historic ships, we provide today’s youth with the opportunity to build character, confidence, gain self-reliance, and learn the value of teamwork.Kelly, a 5th grader who attended our Age of Sail program, had this to say about her experience:“I really learned a lot on the ship, but I mostly learned how to work together even if you don t like somebody. The thing that we had to do most was work together because if we didn t we wouldn t have got through it all. Thanks to your generosity and support, we can continue to complete critical preservation and restoration projects in and around the National Maritime Park, while also offering impactful, hands-on educational programs.You are a part of our success!
