Late artist, teacher, and visionary John T. Scott has been recognized with the 2021 Humanist of the Year award, given by the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities. In addition to the Humanist of the Year award, the LEH has announced eight Humanities Awards recipients, recognizing documentary filmmakers and photographers, historians, literacy advocates, and more. After an eight-month competitive process, the US Department of Health and Human Services has selected PRIME TIME, Inc. to be the Early Head Start and Head Start operator for Lafayette and Iberia parishes, serving 747 children across the two parishes. December 9, 2020 PRIME TIME Family Reading Adapted Into Three New Initiatives This fall, LEH’s PRIME TIME family of programs began three new initiatives: a podcast, a virtual training in the PRIME TIME methodology for parents, and an all-in-one kit of books and supplies distributed directly to families.
