We had sixchildren and homeschooled for over twenty years. Our supplies are a collectionof high quality, attractive, Australian books that are self-instructional, ifused in the right order, and contain answers. We provide the core subjects ofphonics, maths, english, spelling, society and environment (HSIE), and science.We also have a variety of art, craft, various electives and literacy for alllevels. We carry a large range of books because children are not all the sameand they need books individually chosen for them. We are experienced in helpingboth the bright child and the slow learner. We recommend that children aretested before using the material so that they can be placed at a point wherethey can succeed. To find these tests look under ?Curriculum Guide? then?Tests.? It is recommend that you test for the last year completed.Once your child has been tested we are available to assist you in selectingbooks that will suit your child's individual needs. Books costs approximately$300 per year for primary school and $350 per year for secondary school perchild. The material on this website is the only Australian curriculum producedspecifically for homeschooling, i.e., it has not been adapted from somethingthat has been written for use in school or from another country. Our advice isfree and we are able to offer a year ten certificate should you require it. Ordering The easiest way to order is by going to the ?CurriculumGuide? and clicking on the grade required. It is strongly recommended that youtest your child when ordering for the first time as the grades do not alwaysline up with what is taught in school for the same grade number. The materialwe supply is of a high standard. Tests Test on the last year completed. The three subjects thatneed to be tested are maths, english and spelling or maths and language foryears eight to ten. This is because these subjects are sequential, i.e., theybuild on previous knowledge. Subjects such as science, history, social studiesand geography are more topic based and are selected according to the child'scomprehension level. For level one maths and English are tested with Test YourK-1 and Test Your English K-1. For level two maths and English are tested withTest Your and Test Your English 2. The two books cost $25.90 including postageand handling. Three books are used to test at level three, Test Your Maths 3,4, 5 or-6, Test Your Spelling 3 4 or 5 6, and Test Your English3.4, 5, 6 or 7 The cost is $40.85 including postage and handling. Do not help your child during these tests or attempt toteach through them. If you do it defeats the purpose of the test. The testshave scores. The total scores show which books to use next.
