Research activities and contact information for our laboratory in the Department of Cell Biology and Physiology at Washington University School of Medicine in St Louis. John Cooper is the principal investigator. The lab studies the cytokeleton and cell motility in a variety of systems, from budding yeast to mammalian cells. The lab has focused on the relationship of actin assembly to cell motility, how actin-binding proteins control actin assembly, and how dynein and dynactin function with microtubules to position the mitotic spindle.
