We have a Johne's and CAE Free tested herd. We use covexin-8 (it covers the following: Clostridium chauvoei, septicum, novyi, perfringens Types C D, haemolyticum (bacillary hemoglobinuria/red water) and tetani. They also get yearly psuedotuberculosis to PREVENT caseous lymphadenitis. It is far better to prevent than it is to treat. We worm only when needed, and only the animals that need it. We use copper and cobalt bolus' to fight copper deficiency, and we feed more hay than grain (we have not had a case of urinary calculi to date!)
We can have animals tested before buyer pick up, but it is at buyers expense. We try to test annually, so results would be off last testing if not ordered by buyer. Single Elisa test $45, each one after is $15, Health Certificate $75 for each shipment.
