We have extensive experience in hand-raising baby birds and one of the owners of our company is a registered parrot behaviorist. Julie will provide free advice with pleasure every time. Our babies are all raised using the best practices, and room-in with the family all day and night! We do not sell unweaned babies and are a registered breeder under the AACC. This means that our parrots, even the smallest ones, are close-banded and that records are meticulously kept. We wean our chicks to a varied, healthy diet, including pellets, fruits and veggies. Since our babies are socialized in a family setting, they are well-behaved around children and adults alike. our chicks go to their new home with a care sheet and a sample of the food they are used to, as well as a baby picture :)
While our breeding rooms are closed to the public for obvious reasons, visitors are always welcome and babies can be viewed and handled. In fact, we recommend that would-be owners DO come for a visit prior to making the decision to take a baby home. In this way, they can really see what it is like to own birds. The parents of all our chicks are on our premises and pictures of them can be viewed. While we gladly open our home (and hearts!) to visitors, we receive visitors by appointment only.
