Personal details

I was born in Athens on the 13th of November 1976.

I studied physics at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in Greece, where I got my MSc and my PhD. 


I moved to CERN in 2003, working for the offline group of ALICE

Before joining ALICE, I was a member of NA49 (still member) and NA61 @ the SPS (CERN).

I became a Marie Curie fellow at CERN in 2005 and then a postdoctoral researcher at Nikhef and Utrecht University in 2007. 


Since 2010 I am a Senior Scientist at Nikhef in Amsterdam

Since 2016 I'm also an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Graviational and Subatomic Physics - GRASP) at Utrecht University in the Netherlands.

Together with my group we are members of the ALICE Collaboration at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN.

I moved to the Netherlands in July 2011, and I live in Almere since then.
