First Name Last Name Email address: Leave this field empty if you're human: Our synod includes the District of Columbia, the Maryland and the Virginia suburbs, from upper Montgomery County south to the Quantico Marine Barracks, and from the western shore of the Chesapeake Bay out to the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. In November of 2019, the Synod Council adopted a new mission statement for our synod as you see above. This mission was not adopted to stay in our minutes and posted on our website never to be looked at again. It is our mission to live into as synod together, even now, especially now. Bishop Ortiz engages the components of our mission through a series of blog posts to reflect on the meanings as well as how we can and will live out this mission in our communities, synod and world.  We pray God fills us with continued courage and grace to lead during these uncertain times!
