Assist with set-up of club events Keep the club office and interior of club in an organized clean stateOther projects assigned by the Club Manager Start Date: End of June 2021 for approximately 8 weeks Full time: 35 hours per week Who we are: Gimli Yacht Club is a not-for-profit sailing club located in the town of Gimli, on the beautiful shores of Lake Winnipeg. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.Requirements: High school student or student enrolled in a post-secondary education programA positive and mature attitude with willingness to take on responsibility.Outgoing personality Enjoy working outdoors Fit to perform yard work, outdoor maintenance/cleaning, event set-up/teardowns Excellent interpersonal and time management skills Must be able to work weekends and evenings What you will do: Maintain GYC grounds in a manner that ensures a safe and attractive appearance Perform general grounds maintenance tasks such as grass cutting, weeding, trimming Maintain Club BBQ area; manage BBQ propane tank supply Wash training boats, equipment and club watercraft (kayaks and paddle boards) as required Assist members with launching and retrieving club boats (Optis, lasers, albacores) Help with the preparation of Wednesday Night Racing, Pursuit races and Social club events Undertake special projects (e.g. reorganization of outdoor dinghy storage area) Other projects assigned by the Club Manager Start Date: End of June 2021 for approximately 8 weeks Full time: 35 hours per week Who we are: Gimli Yacht Club is a not-for-profit sailing club located in the town of Gimli, on the beautiful shores of Lake Winnipeg.
