The annual ACJC Geography Quiz started in 2001 and this is the 4th year since it has been inaugurated.
Aim
The aim of the quiz is primarily to encourage more interaction between secondary schools and also to expose students to geography at a higher level. Furthermore, the quiz also seeks to further educate the students beyond the academic text on the chosen theme of each year. We earnestly hope that the passion for geography and its all encompassing study of the world through time and space will spread to the ends of the earth.
ACJC Geography Quiz 2006
Theme
S.E.A Life
Students will be tested on their factual understanding of South East Asia in the categories of
A. Population Geography
B. Urban Geography
C. Economic Geography
D. Country Profile.
Format
Preliminary Round
Students will individually answer a series of multiple-choice questions in this written round.
Jeopardy Round
Students from the Top 8 schools of the Preliminary Round will compete as schools and will be asked questions according to a country allocated to them from the South East Asian region.
Rapid Fire Round
The Top 4 schools will compete against each other to answer a series of questions correctly. The winners will be named the champions of the ACJC Geography Quiz 2006
