We have one of the very best school systems in the state, including Foxcroft Academy which attracts students from all over the world. Also, Mayo Regional Hospital, Piscataquis Regional YMCA, and glorious Sebec Lake, one of the most pristine lakes in New England only five miles from downtown. Dover Foxcroft stills retains an identity as a nice residential and commercial community with its own police department, fire department, several churches and service organizations as well as being the county seat of Piscataquis County.
