The All-In-One, VectorFlex™ and VectorFlex-Z™ Flexible CSST Gas Piping Systems

VectorFlex and VectorFlex-Z are flexible CSST that were engineered and manufactured to address the problems associated with rigid pipe applications. Because of the flexible nature of both VectorFlex and VectorFlex-Z, both can be used in locations where traditional rigid pipes can’t. Within the confines of a gas pipe system, VectorFlex and VectorFlex-Z can bend around obstacles and snake through walls and crawl spaces without the use of joints or elbows. This can be done as a single continuous run of tubing allowing a parallel installation from a central distribution manifold versus a series layout commonly associated with rigid pipe systems.

To round out the overall gas piping system, VectorFlex and VectorFlex-Z are connected with specifically designed, ready-to-install US Patented, Easyflex® QuickFlare™ mechanical fittings. These self-flaring fittings have standard NPT threads and can be used with accessories, such as valves, regulators, and manifolds. In addition, QuickFlare fittings can be removed and reused on different sections of the pipe.

304 flexible stainless steel Annealed for flexibility and purity Flame-retardant protective coating Works with QuickFlare fittings Lightweight and easy to transport Conductive jacket protects from lightning No additional bonding required

VectorFlex CSST flexible gas lines are made from annealed, type 304 stainless steel for superior flexibility and purity and features a polyethylene jacket that helps prevent damage from chemicals and underground/outdoor use. This yellow polyethylene jacket is fused with a flame-retardant material classifying it as ASTM E84-compliant, meeting the requirements for flame spread and smoke density. This allows the jacket to remain intact throughout a building’s gas delivery system, maximizing its protective characteristics.

VectorFlex-Z CSST flexible gas lines share all the same characteristics as the VectorFlex CSST, but with an added feature-a black conductive jacket that helps protect it from damages caused by lightning strikes. This protective jacket is made from a specially-formulated polymer that was designed specifically for the VectorFlex-Z CSST and has the ability to disperse the electrical energy when an arc generates between the tubing and another metal object. Additionally, VectorFlex-Z does not require additional bonding, unless specifically required by local codes.

QuickFlare fittings are US patented and are specifically designed and engineered to work seamlessly with VectorFlex and VectorFlex-Z. These fittings feature standard NPT threads and are approved by national and/or local authorities for use in gas distribution systems. QuickFlare fittings are self-flaring and can be removed, inspected, and reused on portions of the VectorFlex and VectorFlex-Z CSST. Installers do not have to open or reassemble QuickFlare fittings, as they are pre-calibrated and come ready-to-install from the factory without the need for special tools or equipment.
