Comprehensive Update Of The Zoning Code

Feedback Requested

The Village is doing a comprehensive update of the Zoning Code and wants your feedback! This update will modernize the code, streamline permitting processes, and address new land use issues. A draft of the Zoning Code and Zoning Map is publicly available for review from now until November 14, 2022. Residents can post comments or questions directly to the document. The document can be found by going to https://arcg.is/Si0uC or the Planning and Zoning Page on the Village's website.

Village Council will hold a public hearing regarding the Zoning Code update on November 14, 2022 at 6:30pm in the Municipal Building. This is an exciting time for the Village and your feedback is encouraged!

Leaf Pickup

​

Brush pickup is over. After ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­September 30th, residents may take their brush to Kurtz Brothers . Leaf pickup will begin around October 3rd.

Village Council Meetings

Plain City Council Meetings are held the second and fourth Mondays of each month (unless designated otherwise on the website calendar). Worksessions are held the first Wednesday of each month.

Meetings are held in Council Chambers at 800 Village Boulevard and begin at 6:30 pm.

​

All meetings of Village Council are open to the public except for Executive Sessions during which Council members may discuss specific types of business as defined by the Ohio Revised Code. Boards and Commission meetings are also open to the public.

All permits, except building permits, are handled by the Village Planning and Zoning Department.

This includes fence, porch, pool and other permits.
