BUDDY BENCH PROGRAM FROM SCHERRER CONSTRUCTION KNOWN AS SCHERRER CARES!

Our buddy bench program is well known throughout the state of Wisconsin. You will find our buddy benches in many schools and educational buildings throughout the state.

The Scherrer Cares buddy bench program is our way of giving back to the community and helps any child who is feeling alone or left out to quickly find a friend. The principle is that if a child feels left out, they will sit on the buddy bench where other students will see them and sit next to them, making friends quickly.

As a major general contractor. we are always honored that we are able to provide donations to charities and help facilities build kindness in our local communities. We like to reward charitable efforts and Scherrer Cares helps to raise funds for our charities and other organizations through fundraising events and charitable donations.

TOP PROJECTS 2021

KARCHER MIDDLE SCHOOL

The new Karcher Middle School in Burlington, WI was designed and built to encourage students to use every space for learning. The 145,000 SF school was completed in May 2021 and replaces the original middle school that was build in 1924 and no longer served the needs of a 21st century learning environment. The new school serves more than 700 students and offers energy -efficient and modifiable learning spaces that allow for collaboration among all students and staff. The facility also features improved safety and security, increased operational efficiency and program opportunities to aid in learning.

TOP PROJECTS 2019

UNION GROVE HIGH SCHOOL

This project consisted of a new agricultural technology building and greenhouse, a distinct way for local students to carve out careers in agriculture and the trades. The new ag building features an animal research lab, associated classrooms and a 2,800 Sf greenhouse. Renovations were also done to the existing technical education department revamping labs and classroom spaces for engineering, CNC machinery, woodworking and automotive courses. A two story 12,000 SF addition was also constructed to house a new fitness room and arts department.
