One of the UK’s largest bus operators, we run one out of every five local bus services and carry 1.6 million customers on 6,200 vehicles every single day. Transforming the world of bus travel, we’re making a big investment in the future to help local communities run smoothly and meet the needs of our customers better than ever before.

First Bus

Our diverse team operates some tram services on behalf of Transport for London. We run the tram service between Croydon and Wimbledon, Elmers End and Beckenham Junction, on behalf of Transport for London.

We are exceptionally proud of our team at Tram Operations, who have excelled themselves, to overcome the challenges we have faced over the last few years, to continually deliver a reliable service every day to our customers.

Around 80,000 customers travel with us every day. We are delighted that their satisfaction with how we run the service is consistently high at 90%.

In May 2020 we celebrated our 20th birthday; and we are honoured to be connecting the local communities, often being their only form of transport, playing a vital role of a community tramway deeply embedded in the everyday lives of the vibrant and diverse communities in Croydon and South London.

Working together, our team will provide a service of 5 trains per day in each direction between Edinburgh and London, 7 days a week.
