There are a few simple steps you’ll need to take to configure your DNS records and server to meet the requirements.

Once your DNS and server are set up, you can specify your mapped domains and target content for each domain. We have in-depth guides and videos to help you through every step.

How do I set up SSL for multiple domains?

Setting up SSL for multiple domains is generally not too difficult. You should be able to go to your hosting provider dashboard and request a second SSL certificate for any mapped domains. If your hosting provider doesn’t have the option, reach out to them for support. If you have enough technical experience or are running a VPS or Dedicated Server, it’s possible to obtain a free or paid SSL certificate and manually install it on your server via SSH.

Is domain mapping compatible with my plugins and themes?

Domain mapping works with most plugins and themes out of the box. However, all plugins and themes work differently, and we sometimes encounter new bugs that need to be fixed. Our development team streamlines bug fixes with major plugins and themes that are using best practices in their coding, so if you ever encounter an issue, just let us know, and we’ll work with you to get it resolved as soon as possible.

What if I don’t want my published content accessible under multiple domains? By default, in the free version of Domain Mapping System, you can map content to any domain. However, the page content will be available for both the mapped domain as well as the original domain of your site. The PRO version allows you to force redirect visitors to the mapped versions of any page they are visiting.Can your team help with DNS or server configuration?

If you’re using the free version, you can always contact us for tips and advice, but our extensive Documentation resolves the vast majority of issues. What if I need more than 25 sites?

Reach out to to support, and we can determine the best possible price given your forecasted usage. We understand some customers, like SaaS platforms, may have a large number of sites that need to be supported with domain mapping, and we are here to help.

What should I do to get started?We always recommend installing the free version first and following our Quick Setup Guide. Once you’ve tested the plugin in your environment, come back and purchase the paid plugin.Or, if you’re confident that your server environment meets the plugin requirements, feel free to make the purchase any time.Is the License Key based on Sites or Mapped Domains?

The License Key you purchase allows activation of the paid version of the plugin on a limited number of Sites. Sites are considered core WordPress installations (e.g. – you have only one “wp-content” folder in your FTP directory).

For WordPress Multisites, each additional Site on your Multisite Network needs its own License to use the PRO features.

Free features can still be utilized on each network site without a license. 

What happens after purchase?

Immediately after purchase, you’ll get an email with your License Key and a download link. Be sure to use an email address you have full access to during checkout. If you didn’t receive the email, please check your spam folder and then contact support.

You can also login to manage your account using the email address used for purchase.

Do I still need the free version of the plugin after purchase?If you already have the free version installed, just install the paid version and it will automatically deactivate the free version. The free version of the plugin will no longer be needed. What is your refund policy?
