I write things. Sometimes I write mini-essays about French cinema,mostly I write code for my day job.

I have a Bachelor of Arts (Comparative Literature) from Emory University and a Master of Arts(French history and literature) from Columbia University; my master’s research and courseworkat ENS, EHESS and Reid Hall resulted in a thesis on Édouard Levé, the bibliography for which you can find here.

These days, I'm a software engineer. I've worked on both the frontend and the backend, everywhere from big corporations toearly-stage startups. I have years of experience working with big data and distributed systems in a cloud environment, as well as a deep and abiding interest in cybersecurity and machine learning.

As a member of the Cloud Workload Protection engineering team at CrowdStrike, I'm currently building products that protect cloud workloads, containers and Kubernetes at massive scale: CrowdStrike's data platform processes approximately one trillion events a day.
