Exciting News for Course Assistants!

One year after GSOC filed a grievance on underpayment of Course Assistants, NYU has finally proposed a settlement totaling over $1 million that would retroactively compensate all CAs at the minimum hourly rate under our contract, going back to spring 2021. Unit Reps are meeting with affected workers to discuss the details of the proposal and GSOC’s response. If you have worked as a CA and would like to learn more, email the Unit Reps using the link on the right.

Please note that the settlement has been proposed but not yet finalized.
