7 Promises

If we are fortunate enough to earn your future business, we will strive to build a trusted relationship. We will work hard to “energize” your brand(s) and create a sense of excitement and vigor about your organization’s future.

Industry Knowledge

We understand that you expect your branding partner to either arrive with a deep level of expertise in your industry or else get up to speed in a hurry. You also expect them to stay current and ensure that you do as well. We will bring proactive ideas to the table.

Business Acumen

We understand that you expect your branding partner to understand your entire business model from R&D to distribution. We will recognize and help solve real business or organizational problems.

Accountability

We understand that you expect your branding partner to do what they say they’re going to do. That means bringing projects in on time and on budget. It means owning a problem until it gets resolved. It also means the flip side — you will want us to hold you accountable as well. We will do what we say. Period.

Passion

We understand that you expect your branding partner to care as much about your business and organization as you do. We understand that you want to be our top priority. We fully anticipate you being our favorite partner…the one we are always thinking about.

Cost Effectiveness

We understand that you expect your branding partner to spend every one of your dollars wisely. It’s about having a big picture vision so that all of the money and efforts are pushing/pulling in the same direction. It’s about investing where money needs to be spent and reducing spending when imperative.

Advice & Leadership

We understand that you expect your branding partner to help shoulder your load. You won’t have to dictate all the particulars. We will bring creative ideas, listen intelligently, ask insightful questions, and express concerns when we have a difference of opinion. We will help drive your organization towards achieving its goals.

No Self-Interest

We understand that you expect your branding partner to be profitable AND trustworthy. Our input will always be to ultimately build your brand and drive your organization’s mission.

What brought you to the creative field?

I didn’t get “brought” to it. I grew up in it. Immersed in the fine arts by my artist mother, I attended numerous museums and art shows before I ever visited a theme park. Also, our family owned two printing companies where I worked from my teen years on. This exposure cultivated my love of graphic design, production, and the importance of business and communication. I took this passion to UGA, where I earned my degree in advertising with a minor in art and graphics. And now here I am. I own my own branding design firm and work with some amazing clients!

What gets you out of bed in the morning?

Making a difference in people’s lives. I proactively seek opportunities to help people achieve their goals. I endeavor to offer positive encouragement in tandem with practical assistance in all kinds of situations: professionally, personally, and day-to-day random encounters. Why? Because I love people… all kinds, different walks. Everyone has a story to tell.

What kind of person are you?

I am a “glass-half-full” kind of person. I’m both an enthusiastic cheerleader and a team player. I love turning challenges into success stories and making others look good in the process. I love all my roles as a business woman, wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.

What’s your favorite dinner and movie?

Veal scallopini, lamb chops, lobster, or the Prosperity steak at a locally-owned restaurant. (Yes, I’m a omnivore AND an animal lover.)

My favorite movie? That’s a hard one, but I’d say Gladiator just barely edges out Braveheart for me. But just to throw a wrench in it, I’ll also mention that I like The Notebook, Titanic, and Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves!

What’s your favorite book?

Well, the Bible first and foremost. But for fun? I’m a history hobbyist, so historical novels entertain me the most. Two of my favorite book series are in a draw: Outlander, by Diana Gabaldon and The Last Kingdom, by Bernard Cornwell. Authors Philippa Gregory and Edward Rutherfurd also get emphatic nods from me.

Got a hobby?

You bet! Many actually: Trying out top chefs’ cuisine recipes, gardening, reading & writing, and finding waterfalls. I love experimenting with new things, meeting new people, and learning about different cultures. I teach ESL (English as a Second Language) to adult learners and am taking a Spanish class as well.
I don’t let the grass grow under my feet.

What brought you into the creative field?

From an early age I was encouraged to be creative and work with my hands. My mother was an artist and I have many relatives who are extremely creative. Because of this, I chose to pursue a career in graphic design. It was at the University of Georgia and subsequent positions that I began to learn how to attack complex branding/advertising challenges, devise creative plans, and then implement these plans into successful solutions.

What gets you out of bed in the morning?

I’m passionate and purposeful about what I do. I believe in the power of branding and desire to take calculated risks to achieve break-through results. I go beyond practiced processes. I thrive on healthy debate and look for collaborative relationships. With the knowledge that branding makes a difference in people’s lives, I focus on delivering impactful results by leveraging innovative techniques and approaches that drive measurable returns. My philosophy is that creativity plus the ability-to-implement go hand in hand. Successful results must have both disciplines working in tandem with one another.

What kind of person are you?

Well, that’s a very complicated question, but I’ll try to answer it the best I can. I’m an enthusiastic, creative/strategic leader. I take complex marketing challenges and turn them into successful solutions. I’m a husband, father, brother, son, and friend. I’m a perfectionist, so I can be a little demanding when it comes to quality and meeting predetermined goals. I believe in and employ the “Golden Rule.” I weight-train 3 days a week. I love to travel. Most of all, I try to never take myself too seriously.

What’s your favorite dinner and a movie?

I enjoy so many types of food from a great American hamburger and fries to Chinese, French, and Soul. However, I’d say my favorite dinner would be a huge plate of beef nachos with a killer frozen margarita…and if you throw in Cozumel, MX…it’d be perfect!

As for the movie, it’s a toss-up between Aliens and Braveheart. Both have determined and victorious heroes in seriously compromising and dangerous situations. Both are powerful underdog stories. Both are thrilling and inspiring. And both would be fantastic with a frozen margarita.

What’s your favorite book?

Anything written by Malcolm Gladwell, the author of David and Goliath, Blink, Outliers, and others. I love his brilliant perspective and his unique observations. It’s so obvious he is passionate about his craft. Such interesting reading.

Gotta hobby?

Yes. I love to paint, build sculpture, and exhibit my work throughout the US. My first exhibition was in New York and since then I’ve been fortunate enough to be shown at Brown University, RI, Maryland, Virginia, Tennessee, and Georgia. For me, it’s a labor of love.
