Step 1- Intake and Enrollment Forms

Step 1 includes submitting the necessary documents to place your child on our enrollment list and request an authorization for assessment from your insurance. The documents needed include your insurance card, a referral from your child's doctor, and a full diagnostic report. After submitting this information, JoyBridge staff will contact you to begin your insurance verification process and answer any additional questions you might have before scheduling your private tour. Insurance verification, authorization, and approval typically take 1-2 weeks.

Step 2- Parent/Caregiver Interviews

The second step begins the assessment process, in which the data is used to determine the number of hours your child medically needs for ABA therapy, what skills to teach, and whether our clinic services are the best fit for your child's needs. Indirect assessment, or parent/caregiver interviews and questionnaires are completed with a BCBA and the data gathered is used to prepare for the direct assessment with your child.

Step 3- Behavior and Skill Assessments

A BCBA will play with your child, observe your child's behaviors, and assess current developmental skill levels utilizing curriculum-based and standardized assessments. Typically, a direct assessment will take 2-4 hours to complete. The BCBA will score and analyze the assessment data and write an initial treatment plan/report to submit to your insurance provider. Depending on your insurance, it typically takes 2-3 weeks to receive the authorization to being ABA services.

Step 4- Services Begin

Once the authorization is received from the insurance company, we will reach out to you to schedule a start date for your child! Our ABA program options include a full-time program (M-F 8am-3pm), part-time program (M-F mornings or afternoons), and an after-school program (3:30-5:30 pm 2-4 days/week).
