Welcome to Friends of NW Hatcheries

Osborn Elementary students participating in the Salmon in the Classroom program release salmon smolts into the Wenatchee River.

Friends of Northwest Hatcheries is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization whose focus is to support natural resource stewardship and education, in cooperation with U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service hatcheries of the Northwestern United States.

FNWH MISSION
Working with US Fish & Wildlife Hatcheries of the Northwestern United States, the Friends of NW Hatcheries support fish and wildlife conservation and education while engaging students and communities to be active stewards.

ASSOCIATED HATCHERIES
Friends of Northwest Hatcheries is associated with the Leavenworth, Entiat, Spring Creek, Carson, Winthrop, Makah, Willard, Little White, Quilcene, and Quinault National Fish Hatcheries in Washington State, the Dworshak and Kooskia National Fish Hatcheries in Idaho, and the Warm Spring and Eagle Creek National Fish Hatcheries in Oregon.
