"The First Peoples of South East Australia are all closely connected through kinship, songlines, waterlines, and the land itself. Plus, the Museum will open seven days during WILAM BIIK – The WILAM BIIK catalogue is now available in the Museum store. This richly illustrated 116-page hardback catalogue captures and celebrates the significant First Nations exhibition WILAM BIIK, curated by Stacie Piper. Explore each artist's work with crisp photographs, accompanied by statements about their respective practices. The catalogue also includes a Masterful weaving Continuation of culture underpins the curation of WILAM BIIK by Stacie Piper. These woven works are a strong example of how South East First Nations craft expertise continues to thrive. WILAM BIIK displays a woven basket by Granny Jemima Burns Wandin Dunolly alongside a photo of the maker, Not long now... TarraWarra Museum of Art remains closed. We plan to reopen as soon as we can.
