This article is a work in progress and will be post in parts. The first part is completed and has been posted. The first part deals extensive with the importance of the spiritual realm known as the Underworld in Native American spiritual beliefs. It explores how the Native American s beliefs and perceptions of the Underworld can be seen in some stone structures. This 20 minute video explores the diversity of ceremonial stone structures found in New England and northeastern United States. It shows the differences between historic farming and Native American stonework. This video was original developed as a presentation for 9th Annual Native America-Archaeology Roundtable (2014) held in Washington, CT.
