(Click the picture of the Felicia Mahood Center above for directionsand parking information.) The suggested donation to play is $2 for the first game you play,and $1 for each subsequent game. Youneed not donate for any game you do not play and you do not need to play all four games. (You may come late or leave early forjust the $1 per game plus $1 donations.) We average about 40 players a weekand run the gamut from unrated players to players in the top 50 inNorth America by rating. We also have an age range of players asyoung as 9 and as old as 90.This club was started by the late Don Knutzen, and it was his idea tooffer bagels to the players. Your entry donations go to the rental ofthe space and to those bagels, as well as coffee and other refreshments.Sadly, due to increased costs, we can no longer afford to have bagels and keep our expenseslow. Coffee and other refreshments are still available, though.The club currently has two divisions separated at about the NASPA ratingof about 1000. (If you don't know what a NASPA rating is, don'tworry about it. It will not be important until you wish to playin a tournament.) The director matches up the players at his orher discretion for the first game, and bases pairings in future gamesbased on won-loss record and total number of points. If youhappen to win all four games, you will get $5 (your entry fee).If you have any turns 100 points or more, you get $1 and your name listed on this web site with the word you made.Explore this web site to see the current statistics, the 100-point playlist, and upcoming tournaments.
