Whatever your needs or desires, we can provide the sailing vacation of your dreams in an Odyssean world of discovery and adventure.Odyssey Sailing is a family run yacht charter company based in Volos mainland base, near Skiathos and the Sporades islands, but we also offer sailing yachts for bareboat or skippered charters from all over Greece, including Athens, Lavrion, Lefkas, Corfu, Rhodes, Kos, Mykonos, Paros, and much more.  ARGO-SARONIC-PELOPONNESE The Argo-Saronic route from Athens marina is recommended for easy sailing or for shorter periods of charter as the islands are close together and well protected by the Attica peninsula to the north and the Peloponnese to the west. CYCLADES ISLANDS One of the most popular island groups in Greece, this area is generally recommended mainly for experienced sailors, or for skippered charters, especially during the high season months, June - September, when the `meltemi` winds from the north east can make sailing difficult with high waves and strong gusts. IONIAN ISLANDS The Ionian islands are popular with family sailing groups and flotillas due to the calm and predictable conditions. They can be divided into two clear sections: the north Ionian, starting base Corfu, and the south Ionian, starting from Lefkas, Preveza or Kefalonia. Two weeks is required to properly explore both areas quite well, but a one week itinerary allows for a gentle exploration of each area by sea. VOLOS & SPORADES ISLANDS Still relatively undiscovered, the Sporades islands are among the greenest in Greece with some of the best beaches and traditional lifestyles, while the gulf of Volos also offers many ideal anchorages and small fishing ports. Ideal for all levels of sailor as the winds are generally moderate and sailing distances quite short, but there are more challenging routes for the intrepid sailor too. DODECANESE ISLANDS The twelve islands of the Dodecanese are located in the south east Aegean along the Turkish coast, with embarkation ports in Kos and Rhodes. Steady winds throughout most of the summer afford ideal sailing conditions for intermediate to experienced sailors, while novice sailors families and flotilla groups can enjoy secure anchorages in this historically rich archipelago. CHALKIDIKI & the NORTH AEGEAN There is still much to discover in the north east Aegean and around Chalkidiki. With sailing bases from Kavala, Thessaloniki and Chalkidiki, its possible to choose a variety of sailing itineraries with beautiful bays, green landscapes, pebbly beaches, fishing villages and much traditional culture and history.
