TO SUPPORT, DEFEND AND ADVANCE THE EFFORTS OF THE TEACHING CHURCH Thomas More Chapter was founded as a local chapter of Catholics United for the Faith in the St. Paul Minneapolis area to assist the Church that Jesus founded on the rock of Peter. The exact year of the founding of this chapter is a matter of some debate. One source places it at 1968 as a direct response in support of Paul VI and his Encyclical, Humane Vite. For many years we assisted National CUF at the local level in preserving the authentic teaching of the Catholic Church. We held meetings and letter writing campaigns, and let other catholics know that the Church had not changed it's fundamental teaching on any matter. This particular chapter is no longer active, but the mission of CUF goes on. Wherever there is a need to teach, encourage, and promote the faith, there is a need for CUF.
