I have redesigned the navigation bar to include new ranges and future developements. I appologise that the link to BEDS takes you to a blank page. Miniature Textiles Company was launched in February 2001, specialising in the design of floorcoverings and interior textiles for Dolls' Houses. The company was formed by Janet Oliver, a graduate of The Royal College of Art in London, who lectured in the design of floorcoverings and interior textiles on a specialist degree course for over 20 years. Janet says "I am really enjoying the opportunity to pursue the design and production of my own ideas after spending so long lecturing in higher education. I am also very interested in taking on commissions for special designs". All the needlepoint carpet and cushion kits are available at both 1/12th and 1/24th scale. New designs are being added to the ranges all the time - if you wish to be kept up to date watch this space. Due to not only the price increases but also the changes to the weight bands for packets the cost of posting increased considerably. The reason the carpet kits come into the packet category is that they contain sewing thread for the fringe. If you either don't want to stitch a fringe or are prepared to buy your own sewing thread then the postage cost can be considerably reduced and the cost of the sewing thread deducted. As all the carpet kits are different weights I have decided, to be as fair as I can, to weigh each order and then advise of the postage. I used to send all orders within a few days of receipt but I will now have to wait until cheques have cleared before posting as I have had 2 bounced cheques - payments by paypal will not be affected.
