She s had a weekly radio show, The Lily Mercer Show, on Rinse FM for over two years. The show is every Sunday night/Monday morning from 1-3am [BST] playing the best new, underground Hip Hop. She s also a part of the Beats 1 radio station on Apple Music broadcasting live from London.As a music journalist, magazine editor and DJ, Lily caters to fans of underground hip hop delivering content via various mediums, from print media to radio. She s DJed for brands including adidas and Baby-G and was recently Kali Uchis UK tour DJ. Her radio debut was on Rinse FM in late 2012 with ’The Lily Mercer Show a specialist show featuring new and alternative rap music and interviews. The show extends to video interviews on Rinse TV, which include episodes with Pusha T, Chuck D and Raekwon among others. Hailing from North London, Lily spends most of her time running Viper Magazine, which was born out of an ever present love of hip hop, a passion for words and a devotion to print publications. With no absorbing magazines left to buy she decided it was time to start her own and Viper was born in 2013. Now five issues deep previous cover stars have included Darq E Freaker, Kali Uchis, ScHoolboy Q, DeJ Loaf and most recently Earl Sweatshirt and Vince Staples. Prior to Viper, Beats 1 and Rinse FM, Lily worked for a number of cult London brands including WAH Nails and SB.TV. For the latter, she interviewed some of her favourite artists including Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar. As a music journalist, she’s been published by Dazed Confused, Wonderland, i-D, Noisey and two cover stories for Clash Magazine with Nas and Mac Miller.
