Kate is a former English teacher at Southern Regional High School in Manahawkin, NJ, and a contributing author of Flipping 2.0: Practical Strategies for Flipping Your Classroom. With two decades of teaching experience, Kate integrates technology in her professional development using flipped and blended learning strategies. With a passion for evolving authentic learning into digital formats, Kate shares her expertise through Twitter chats, blogging, and the global Edmodo Community. She s also given presentations about the strategy and value of flipping the classroom at regional, national, and international conferences. Based on the work of Maslow, Bloom, and their contemporaries, participants will learn how to create and sustain efficacy, autonomy, and mindfulness in their classroom communities.
