The YMCA is ramping up for its Summer Enrichment Camp, which kicks off May 26 August 7, 2020. While summer camp at the Y has been a Tucson staple for decades; this season’s summer camp offers continued education through STEAM-based learning, memorable experiences with hands-on enrichment, virtual field-trips to local and national destinations, and traditional camp fun! Children have had the opportunity to continue to learn, grow, and thrive at the Y during Emergency Child Care. $107,944 Has been pledged to the YMCA Community Response Fund which will help support the most urgent community needs in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis. 2,103 The number of Wellness Calls made to ensure the health and safety of our high-risk members in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis. 17,296 Individuals have connected and engaged with us during our virtual fitness classes - with 61% being active older adults. $597,000 Amount the Y raised in 2019. That same year financial assistance amounted to over $1,120,632. 4,100 Youth, from newborn to teen, were nurtured to reach their fullest potential in our childcare programs. 3,000 Members have access to programs, services, and opportunities provided through the Y's financial assistance program. 1 in 4 Youth in YMCA Summer Day Camp could not have attended if they had not received financial assistance. 1,667 Children received FREE YMCA Swim Lessons - ultimately learning life saving skills.
