Parents and caregivers are asked to complete a questionnaire for each student who attends an STPPS school.We encourage all STPPS parents and caregivers to complete this important bus transportation questionnaire. The number of students who require bus transportation when schools open could have a significant impact on logistics. We have almost 30,000 students who normally ride school buses each day. The safety guidelines currently in place make safely transporting that many students a major challenge for our School System as we welcome as many students as possible back on our campuses.Guidelines for bus operation require a reduction in bus capacity with 25 percent allowed in phase 1, 50 percent in phase 2, and 75 percent in phase 3. Safety protocols on buses include the requirement of masks or face coverings for adults and students in grades 3-12, frequent cleaning and sanitation, and spacing of students to the greatest extent possible.A recently conducted survey of parents and caregivers provided an overview of transportation needs that was helpful in the planning process, but an accurate count of students is now needed.
