100 Miles Week 32021

Recap 100 Miles Week 3

Just like that another week has come and gone. Did you run somewhere new? I did explore Hickory Hill Park and I discovered some new trails out there, it was awesome to get lost on the trails, yet still only be a couple miles from home.

Congratulations to those who are hitting their goals!! 100 miles can seem like a task at the beginning of the month, but to get there early is awesome!!! We have a week to go, hope I get to my goal!

Heading into the last week I am encouraging you to pay it forward or do something cool for your community. I usually pick up trash around the areas I run, which is really easy and fits into my schedule. However, here are some other options I am aware of:

Corridor Running Run Turkey Run is a free event on Thanksgiving that collects donation for Waypoint Services/ Madge Phillips CenterBig Grove Brewery is collecting pies on Wednesday 3-7pmNo Regrets groups is collecting warm coats (let me know if need more information)Rake your neighbors lawn

With one week to go, how are you feeling about completing the challenge? I have some prize updates for you. There are now 5 grand prize opportunities, so make sure to have your miles logged!!!

If you are looking for a Thanksgiving day run in the Eastern Iowa Area there are also a few of those happening. I will be at the Legend of the Fall Run in Iowa City, such a great race for a great cause. I know a fellow 100 mile participant has invited anyone to a neighborhood run in North Liberty (contact for more information.) The mentioned Corridor Running event in Cedar Rapids, then there is a timed 5k in CR too. Then I know of a new 5k in the City Park area in Iowa City. Have a safe and wonderful week!
