I hope you're very well. It's been a while since I've posted something apart from the Sense and sensibility readalong.
Today I want to share with you the books I'm currently reading.
An Assembly Such as This (Fitzwilliam Darcy, Gentleman #1) byPamela Aidan. This one is a retelling of Pride and Prejudice from Mr Darcy's perspective. I really love this book, I think it's very well-written and very well-done. This one has three parts and I hope to love all of them. We'll see.
A Proper Family Holiday byChrissie Manby. This one is about two sisters that they don't talk to each other for two years so the mother, tired of this, decides to invite all the family to spend a week together in Lanzarote and doing this the mother thinks that they are going to settle their differences.
Sense and Sensibility byJane Austen. Another one about two sisters. In this case, Elinor is a rational girl whereas her sister likes following her feelings. I have watched the movie, but never read the book which is a pity. I think I'm going to love this one :)
Next
Attachments byRainbow Rowell. I have never read something by Rainbow Rowell and wanted to give her a chance. So I've decided to pick it up this one and see if I like it.
So, yeah, these are the books I'm reading. Let me know what you're reading and if you've read any of these books what you think about them.
Thanks for commenting! :)

I hope you're very well.
Today I want to share with you this event
Mysty @www. thebookrat. com is hosting Austen in August like every year. This year, as always, the event is dedicated to things related to all things Jane Austen, featuring reviews, discussions, vlogs, giveaways, interviews and more. And as every year, Misty is hosting a read-a-long. This year the book that has been chosen is
Sense and sensibility
I am going to participate in this read-a-thon because I really want this novel given the fact that I have never read it. Oops.
I hope you decide to join in Austen in August and you have fun :)No comments: Etiquetas:Austen in August, readalong Sunday, March 20, 2016 Recent ReadsHi everyone!!! :)

1 comment: Etiquetas:wrap-up Saturday, March 19, 2016 Review: Babar by Jean de BrunhoffHi everyone!!! :)
I hope you're having a great weekend.
Today I want to share with you my thoughts of this book:
this book contains the six books the author wrote:
What is this book about? It's the story of Babar, an elephant, and his adventures. The books tells his story since he was born until he is an adult. You can see him grow and get married, have children and even meet Santa Claus. There is a book, Babar and Zephir, which is not about Babar, it's about Zephir the monkey.
My thoughts about this one:
I was really excited when I borrowed this book from the library. I had heard about Babar since I was little and I thought or I had read some of his stories or at least I had seen some cartoons about this character although I wasn't sure.
When I opened the book, I fell in love with the artwork. It's very unique and colorful. I liked the font, it was similar to handwriting and I know it's for children that they are starting reading can do it better, but I thought it was beautiful.
Now, about the first story, I think it was a bit rushed and made me feel uncomfortable. It jumped very quickly from one thing to another and also the things happened in this first book were a bit strange, such as Babar decides to buy a suit. I wasn't sure if I wanted to carry on reading the second story, but I decided to give it a go.
The second story was better so I kept reading. The 3rd, 4th and 5th stories, I think they are the best. The 6th one, which is the one Babar is with Santa Claus, disappointed me. I expected more.
Overall I thought the books was entertaining and easy to read.
My Rating: 3 stars
No comments: Etiquetas:review Thursday, March 17, 2016 Review: Mary Poppins comes back by P.L. TraversHi everyone!!! :)
I hope you're well.
Today I want to share with you my thoughts of this book:
What is this book about?: This book is about Mary Poppins, a special nanny who decides to take care of the children of an English family.
What I liked about this book:
This one is the second book in the Mary Poppins series and I found it more engaging and entertaining than the first one. I liked the first one(I gave it 3 stars), but in this one the adventures are explained with more detail and they are more complete.
When I started reading this book, I was in the perfect mood for this book, but I put it aside to read other books and that was a mistake. I was loving, but when I picked it again I wasn't enjoying like before :(
Still I liked and I gave 3 starts in Goodreads.
What I didn't like:
Some stories where similar to the first book, but with little differences.

Happy reading! :D No comments: Etiquetas:Library Book Haul Tuesday, March 15, 2016 Top Ten Books On My Spring TBR hosted by: The Broke and the Bookish
Hi everyone!!! :)
I hope you're very well and today I want to share with you the ten books on my spring TBR. I hope you like this list and don't forget to share yours in the comments below.
Here it is:
Baby Blues 03: Guess Who Didn't Take A Nap? (Baby Blues #3) byRick Kirkman, Jerry Scott. This one is about a comic about a couple who has just had a baby. It looks like a funny, quick read.
Finding NoelbyRichard Paul Evans. This one is about young people who fell in love with each other, but I think it's more than that. Not sure if I'm going to like it, but I wanted to give a go.
Chasing Vermeer (Chasing Vermeer #1)byBlue Balliett, Brett Helquist This one is about two people looking for a painting. Apparently it's similar to the Da Vici's code in the way the mystery is unraveled and sounds something really cool. I hope to like it, not sure though.
Lost in Austen: Create Your Own Jane Austen AdventurebyEmma Campbell Webster. I wanted this book for ages and finally I have it. This story is based on Jane Austen's books and you have to create your own story. You have to decide what you're going to do and the coolest thing is that you're Elizabeth Bennett . Who doesn't want to be her? I think it's going to be an interesting read and a funny one :)
Mary Poppins Opens the Door (Mary Poppins #3) byP.L. Travers, Mary Shepard
Letters of Note: An Eclectic Collection of Correspondence Deserving of a Wider Audience byShaun Usher. This book is a compilation of letters written by different people in different situations, I think. I try to borrow from the library multiple times and it's always borrowed but I hope to be able to read it this spring.
Tales of spring byGrégoire Solotareff. This book is a compilation of short stories set in spring. In winter I read Tales of winter by the same author and I liked it, so I hope to enjoy this one too.
The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing byMarie Kondō. This one, i think, it's about cleaning and getting rid of things. I don't sure if I'm going to like it, but I have heard mix reviews about this one and that made me want to read it.
Match me if you can by Susan Elizabeth Phillips. I have heard that this book was funny and entertaining and I want to give it a go.
Mind the gap byNacho Iribarnegaray. This book is to help you to learn English, but I think this book is more than that and I want to check it out.
This is not a love storybyJosé A. Pérez Ledo. This book sounds like a fun read. It's about a guy who doesn't believe in love until he fells in love with a woman.4 comments: Etiquetas:Top Ten Tuesday Older PostsHomeSubscribe to:Posts (Atom)About MeElenaView my complete profileFollow this blog with bloglovinMembers of this club :)Search This BlogTranslateWhat YOU decided it was cool :)Sundays in bed with hosted by: Midnight Book Girl Hi everyone!!! :) Today I want to share with you th b...It's Monday!
