Police officers secured over 160 anti-tank missiles dating back to World War 1 in a forest by Kojęcin, South-West Poland. The unexploded ordnance was found by workers cutting down trees. Polish archaeologists unearthed remains of buildings by the agora of Nea Paphos, ancient capital of Cyprus and uncovered the layout of streets in the city. Archaeologists uncovered part of a wooden pavement of a road, dating back to the 17th century, as well as jewellery, pottery fragments, coins, horseshoes, and bones, during excavations in the city centre of Rzeszów, South-East Poland. Archaeologists unearthed remains of foetuses and infants that were buried in vessels used as urns at Khour Shambat in Omdurman, Sudan. The cemetery dates back 6000 years. The burials are dated back to 17th century. Researchers excavating archaeological sites near the villages Gąski and Wierzbiczany in the Kuyavia region, North-Central Poland, came to a conclusion that Roman soldiers were present there. Unique finds of Roman cavalrymen s equipment and soldier uniform s parts never before found outside the Roman Empire seem to back up this thesis. Twelve strongholds dating back to the Early Medieval times located in Central Poland have been surveyed with use of non-invasive prospection techniques over the course of years. The results of the research have been rounded up in a recent publication. A kiln used to bake roof tiles of Toshodaiji temple more than 1000 years ago was discovered at Toshodaiji temple complex, Nara prefecture, Japan. Excavations near Hoef en Haag, Netherlands, led to a discovery of a pot containing some 500 silver and gold coins dating back to the 15th century. A strong storm that hit Spanish coast near Cadiz in March unearthed remains of an ancient Roman aqueduct at Cortadura beach. The structure dates back to 1st century AD. Archaeologists discovered human remains around 90 metres off the south Sarasota County coastline, Florida, United States of America, which turned out to be part of a rare 7000-year-old Native American ancestral burial site.
